A suggestion for the repair if the plate for the Autopiano would be
Pacific Motor Welding.  They are the acknowledged experts on welding
and reinforcing cast iron.  I have seen engine heads and blocks cracked
clear through successfully welded by them.  They have the necessary
preheat furnaces and low temp welding rods to repair cast iron to as
good as original.
