MIDI Wireline Length
By Gary Rasmussen

I have my PowerRoll on my Steck Duo-Art in the living room, connected
to my home computer at the other end of the house. Cable length is
about 50 feet and it works just fine. I have been told that much longer
lengths have been used with no problems but I do not know how long.

Gary Rasmussen

[ The killer is the capacitance per foot. Loosely twisted wire is
[ good. If external noise is picked up then low-capacitance shielded
[ wire may be tried, such as auto radio antenna cable or cable for a
[ high-impedance microphone. I suggest trying the doorbell wire first:
 [ it's the cheapest. -- Robbie
