Dear Mrs. Mozelle,  some years ago I wrote a comprehensive article
concerning Mechanical Musical Instruments and Mechanical Music, in the
new edition of the encyclopedia 'Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart'
[Music in the Past and Present] under 'Mechanische Musikinstrumente'.

I am sure you can find the 'MGG' in each music library.  I gathered
all the material which was (for me) available and you can find there a
lot of information concerning the Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven original
compositions for mechanical organ.  I hope this will help you.  Good
