Mozart 'Organ in a Clock'
By Helmut Kowar

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

A flute clock from Count Deym's art cabinet turned up in the Viennese
clock museum some years ago having several pieces on the barrel, among
them also Mozart's KV 606. The instrument needs restoration and is not
in playing condition.

Unfortunately the original organworks which played Mozart's Fantasia
did not survive -- or has not shown up yet. Deym's art gallerie closed
in 1821 and all objects were sold, some pieces were sold already by
1814.

I have exchanged email with Mrs. Mozelle and was able to answer many
questions and to also send her a picture of the Laudon-Mausoleums in
Deyms art-cabinet. I hope that will inspire her to a beautiful
concert!

Best greetings from Vienna

[ Many thanks for your help, Helmut. I'm sure that Mary Mozelle
[ and the concert-goers will enjoy the new information from you.
