Vocalstyle 13299 "Don't Bring Lulu"
By John Farrell

In Robbie's interesting submission today on the Vocalstyle roll of
"Don't Bring Lulu" he said :

> Ed Sprankle checked the LP and adds, "Not only is there a
> heart-stopping coda, but there's an interlude that is its equal,
> except a bit longer!"

There are many rolls, frequently those by Pete Wendling, where the
tempo is doubled for a final rousing chorus. Ed has invented the
perfect acronym to describe these: HOSE (which stands for "Hot One Step
Ending"). When auditioning rolls we find on our travels, if one of
these exciting passages crops up we turn to each other and yell "Hose!"
in perfect unison. I am sure that Ed's wife must think we are both
mad.

If anybody does recut the Vocalstyle "Lulu" please reserve a copy for
me.
