I need some information regarding restoration of the Dynavoice
keytop player.  The following questions are not answered.

1.  Plastic tubing runs from the tracker bar to the nipple on the
valve(s).  At the nipple, the connection is very hardened with a
brown, gooish substance.  What is this brown goo?

2.  Should I try to get those plastic tubes off the nipples without
breaking the nipples?  How is this done?  Or should I leave the ones
that play alone?  Perhaps that brown goo can be removed with a solvent
of some type?  It would seem that rubber tubing should be used at the
nipple and spliced in to the plastic a couple of inches beyond.

3.  What are the sponge rubber pads at the base of the valves?  Some
of them are rotting!  Are they important?

4.  How do you open the valves, if necessary, as they are plastic?

5.  If any nipples break off, do you drill them out and replace them
with a metal tube that is 3/16" and glue it in the valve?

I would be grateful for any assistance with this project.
