Mortier Organ Donated to Hockey Arena
By Robbie Rhodes

An article in the Las Vegas Sun, July 24, 2000, announced that a huge
antique Mortier dance hall organ will be installed in the forthcoming
state-of-the-art hockey arena at University of North Dakota (UND).
The organ donation comes from former UND hockey player Ralph Engelstad,
owner of the Imperial Palace hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip, for
whom the new arena is named.

Senior architect James Kobetsky said, "I can't think of another arena
that has something of this magnitude and this special. I can see
people just coming to the arena to hear it."

Thanks to Al Pebworth for the tip. The Las Vegas Sun article is at

I wonder what tunes it will play...!
