Piano Rolls Available from PP&MME
By Joyce Brite

It gives me great pleasure to announce that a limited selection of
piano rolls are now available through the Player Piano and Mechanical
Music Exchange. Although only two rolls are available at the present
time, they are songs in which people have expressed interest.

The first is the "Brasillian Maple Leaf." This is Joplin's Maple Leaf
Rag played to a Latin beat! It was arranged by (drum roll, please)
Robbie Rhodes and played by the "Etiwanda Marimba Orchestra". I played
this roll in the pumper contest at the AMICA convention in Sacramento
and received numerous inquiries about it.

The second is "Whose Izzy Is He (Is He Yours Or Is He Mine?)" This is
a recut of an enjoyable tune played by Pete Wendling. I call this tune
a "box-grabber" because whenever I play it, people come up and grab the
box and ask, "What's the name of that song?"

This is my first experience into producing piano rolls. Other songs
are currently under consideration and will hopefully be released as
time and circumstances permit. For more information about ordering
these rolls, please go to:
