Seek Solenoid for Deagan Electric Chimes
By Mario Cordova

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Gentlemen: I'm trying to repair a small 5-tune electrical Deagan chime
of my local Church. Upon disconnecting it I found all the parts rusty
and dirty.

I have cleaned everything and made it work, but one of the striker
coils is broken and in short-circuit. I haven't looked to see if it
can be recoiled; the arrow in the enclosed photograph shows where it's
broken. It works on AC voltage, 110-125 volts.

The part is in the enclosed photo with a ruler, so you may see its
dimensions. As you may see, the spring is removed in order to show the
armature fully extended.

Would you see if it's possible to get a new one and where I can find
it? Please help me in trying to get a new one or a working used one.
Please answer me at the following e-mail: mcordova@infosel.net.mx

Thank you very much in advance for an early reply.

[ The moving armature is about 21 cm diameter, the height of the coil
[ frame plus the cap is 9 cm. The coil diameter is 5 cm. -- Robbie
