Nelson-Wiggen "Gray Profit Sharing" Coin Piano
By Bill Masterman

Hello all, Got an interesting exchange of emails with a piano
technician, Bueford Fletcher in Tennessee. A customer has brought him a
"Gray Profit Sharing" coin piano for restoration work. He contacted me
looking for information and a lower take up spool to replace the
missing one.

This piano sounds rather interesting. What information I was able to
dig up is that these were made by the Nelson-Wiggen piano company, and
Gray installed a slot machine/trade stimulator device in the top. This
little bit of information was dug up from Bowers' Encyclopedia. Sounds
very interesting.

Does anyone have for sale a lower take-up spool for the Nelson-Wiggen
Casino-X or Banj-O-Grand model? These are the two models Nelson-Wiggen
made for sale under the Gray name.

Please contact piano technician Bueford Fletcher <BFletc4320@aol.com>
directly if you may have the A roll take up spool he needs to complete
this restoration. He would also appreciate any information regarding
how this cabinet style piano may have been wired. I have never seen
a coin piano with a slot machine built in before. Wish it was mine!

Thanks,
Bill Masterman
