Absolutely:  the $30 or whatever fee should be mandatory.  Less than
ten cents a day is an outrageous bargain, and surely within the reach
of most.

I'm sure that the crew at MMD already get a few emails with opinions
about content and the like, as all publishers do.  I don't think that
there would be any more legal ramifications than there would be between
a newspaper and its subscribers -- you don't like the paper, don't
renew!  But then, I'm not a lawyer, I just make sawdust.

I would suggest that a few sample copies be made available for newbies.
I'm also curious how access to the invaluable Archives would be
handled.  I assume that the subscriber database can be modified to
handle renewal reminders...
