The service provided to all of us is of value and I do not mind paying
myself.  The posts indicate, however, that some people would have some
difficulty in paying and for others it is simply inconvenient because
of the need for foreign exchange, etc.

Not wanting to firmly exclude anyone, but still wishing to see the
owners of this list compensated for at least some of their time, I
would suggest an occasional reminder, such as in January and July, of
the need to cover the costs of this service.  I have sent money
previously, but would do so more frequently if reminded.  A simple
reminder, not a threat of cut of service, is all that is needed.

I would also suggest that the owners consider offering an incentive for
two years payment (how about $25 per year or $50 total) which is less
money for all of us and less inconvenience for some of our foreign
colleagues since they would only have to get a bank draft half as
often, and then for less money.

Using the above procedures, no one would be cut off, no one would be
severely inconvenienced, and I suspect that the owners would get
significantly more funds than they are getting now.  Anyway, these are
just my thoughts.
