Reed Organs by A. L. White, Chicago
By Bob Ricco

I am seeking information about reed organs that fold up into suitcases
for "easy" transport. A. L. White of Chicago, Illinois, manufactured
these many years ago. I own one of them, the Pipe-Tone Organ model,
that was used by the Salvation Army to provide music on street corners
in the past. My aunt knew the lady that used to play it!

I recently received an inquiry from someone that has a Liberty Organ,
also made by A. L. White, with a request as to the history, age, value
or any other information available on these organs. The MMD Archives
contain no entries on this subject. Do any of you MMDers out there
have any information on the A. L. White organs or know where I can
obtain it? Thanks for your help.

Regards,
