Voicing the Piano for the Duo-Art
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Craig Brougher has just written a new thought provoking
article that discusses the revoicing of reproducing pianos. It has
been said that reproducers, in particular the Duo-Art, need to be
voiced progressively softer toward the treble. Craig believes this is
diametrically in reverse of good musical sense, and the opposite of
what musicians want in a good piano. He discusses the invalidity of
this procedure from a musician's point of view and from the technical
point of view. Both of which coincide perfectly.

I encourage all who are interested to check out this new information.
For those of you who had almost decided to compensate for your
Duo-Art's supposed weaknesses by reversing ideal voicing procedures,
wait. You'll be glad you did. You can access the article by pointing
