Wurlitzer Parts from Doyle Lane
By Matthew Caulfield

When Doyle Lane bought the remaining inventory of Ralph Tussing's
T.R.T. Manufacturing Company, in the year following Ralph's death on
June 29, 1974, among the stock that he acquired were quantities of
brass pipe freins. While Doyle has since sold much of what he had,
I believe that he still has a lifetime supply of freins on hand.
An email to Doyle (try <pianoman@sover.net>) or a phone call
(802-235-2900) should tell you what is available today. His 1981
publication, "Wurlitzer Band Organ Pipe Scales," says on p. 88:

"[Besides] boxes and boxes of original Wurlitzer freins .... we also
have a large number of other original Wurlitzer parts. If you need
roll mechanism parts, shallots, reed brass, or other Wurlitzer parts
we would be happy to help you. We do not have a complete stock of all
parts but give us a try ... We do not publish a catalog as the parts
are too numerous and varied."
