Seeburg Coin Slot Instruction Notice
By Ken Vinen

Over the past fifty years, I have had the opportunity to look at a
great many Seeburg Coin Pianos of all makes and models. There is
always something missing from the cabinet front near the coin entry.
This is evident by looking closely at the wood surface where you will
see a lighter area about two inches by four inches with four very small
holes in the wood left by "brads" that obviously held some instruction
or notice in place.

One does not have to be too clever to figure that the missing part was
some form of instruction such as "Insert Nickel Here with an arrow --
or a pointing finger with a five cent sign, urging you to deposit one
to twenty nickels."

Having looked at many public and private collections plus all the
pictures in my piano books, I have never seen what the "original"
instruction card looks like. Is there anyone in the MMD who can
provide a picture of an original instruction card?

Thank you for your help - Ken Vinen
