Player Piano Technicians
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Here's kind of an odd question: If you heard of a Player
Piano Technician who lived within five miles of another well-known
Player Piano Technician, would you expect that the not-so-well-known
technician would be listed somewhere?

Here's the situation. Today, while at the home of a previous customer,
I heard about another 'player technician' who is telling people some
pretty ridiculous things about player pianos and the state of the
player piano industry. The owner, who runs a refinishing business here
in town, said the tech came in to her store looking for a good deal on
refinishing pianos and player pianos, claiming he was rebuilding about
twenty units a year. When she told him about her player, he mentioned
some numbers concerning value that were utterly ridiculous.

I figured it would be a good idea to have a chat with this gentleman,
so I went in search of some advertising. I've looked everywhere I can
think of (the Yellow Pages, the local newspapers, the Internet) but
still haven't got a clue. So I thought I'd ask the group if perhaps
I'm overlooking something obvious.

Thanks for any suggestions,

John A. Tuttle
