I had a lady call me tonight with what must be a fairly rare type of
player piano that she needs to sell quickly.  The name on the fallboard
is "Strich & Zeidler", which my Atlas lists as being made 1900-1924.

The tracker bar, according to her, has two vertical offset slots at
either end of, and above the level of, the playing notes.  I thought it
might be some odd incarnation of Recordo, so I called Bob Billings.
Bob suggested it may be an Apollo X player action, but didn't know who
to ask, so here I am.

The piano was originally foot-impelled, but is now playing off a
suction box.  It was restored in the 1950s by the only player tech
in Dallas who bothered to do it right in those days.  Remarkably,
it is still functional, but I'm not sure to what degree.

Incidentally, it is still in its original family, with a number of
rolls apparently original to the piano.  She is only asking $1,000.00
for it, as she needs to sell it ASAP (preferably by Sunday).  If anyone
can tell me what this beast is, we'd both appreciate it, likewise you
can contact me if you'd like to buy it.
