I would like to know why kangaroo leather is not preferred for an
Ampico pump?  After covering several pumps with so-called excellent
pump and bellows cloth, and finding it full of holes in less than two
years, I switched to kangaroo hide leather long ago.

The current pump in our Ampico was recovered with kangaroo hide leather
in 1972!  The pump is still performing perfectly and no holes!
