Shipping Instruments Overseas
By John Ledwon

Don't overlook air freight when shipping a large heavy musical
instrument. I had a person interested in purchasing one of the two
Aeolian-Hammonds I have for sale (see my other posting). He lives
in Italy and the closest airport was Vienna. Shipping the BA at about
500 pounds by air freight came to only $650.00, from Los Angeles
airport to Vienna airport. Since air freight is now also priced by
size of the container, the organ inside the crate could have weighed
over 600 pounds for the same fee.

Unfortunately the buyer changed his mind -- I still have them for sale!
