Salzburg Bull Project
By Ron Schmuck

Dear Friends, During the next three weeks I will be working in Europe
on six different projects, everything from organ clocks to tower
bells. My pet project on this trip is further research into ancient
automated musical instruments.

As many of you know I am presently researching the Salzburg Stier
project and the water organ at Hellbrunn Palace, also in Austria. I am
also interested in organ clocks made by Peter Rau of Vienna. If anyone
has information they care to share, I would greatly appreciate hearing
from them. I will be at Utrecht, Arnhem, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich,
Melk, Vienna, Salzburg, Rothenburg, and Ruedesheim. Although I leave
on May 16th I will be in daily contact with our office and will receive
all emails, etc.

I would like to thank all who have supplied me with wonderful
information which I will be following up on this trip.

We also have a bulletin board on the Salzburg Stier web site, and
soon the entire site will be available in German and English; visit

Auf Wiedersehen
