Johnson Organ Company
By Matthew Caulfield

In this month's issue of the Carousel News & Trader there is a
photo-spread about the Johnson Organ Company, and a couple of the
pictures caught my attention. One picture shows an employee turning
four tracker bars on a lathe, the other shows someone laying out a
music master for a new band organ roll.

Does any MMD'er know about the company's capability to arrange band
organ music and to produce rolls? I suspect, from the fact that they
are making their own brass tracker bars, that they may use a typical
piano roll hole spacing rather than something esoteric which would
limit production options.

I am particularly interested in being pointed toward talented
arrangers.
