Accuracy of Recut Music Rolls
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, I don't recut rolls but I was certainly surprised to read
Robbie's editorial in which he suggests that more money might buy you
greater accuracy. If that's the case, it seems to me that everyone
should hang on to their original rolls until the paper literally falls
apart.

Perhaps low-cost high-resolution scanning used in conjunction with
laser-roll-cutting machinery would render copies that are 100%
accurate. (And here I thought recuts were exact replicas of the
original roll... Guess that's what I get for thinking.)

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
