Further information re the Gaillard movement:  I went on the
'Net to look up Gaillard; thousands of references!

I did find a very kind lady, however, who informed me that she had
published a U.S. Gaillard Family Genealogy dating back to 1685,
and that a note in this says that the family's origin was probably
Montpelier, Languedoc, France.  Perhaps a search of records in that
location will reveal more about the elusive E.  Gaillard.
