Dear Ben,  I don't know where you can get the John Smith plans but I
have a suggestion for your project.  There is a fellow in Australia who
has made a organ kit based on John Smith's idea.  It is a neat little
organ and it plays the same rolls.  But it is more sturdy (high quality
plywood) and all the parts are already cut by a laser.  The front is
applied separately so you can design your own facade, if you want.  The
fellow's name is Tom Newsome and he sent a notice to MMD a couple weeks

Take a look and let us know what you think.  I have already bought one,
which will be shipped this week.  I am hoping to have it done before
the MBSI meeting so I can take it with me to show at the organ rally.

The exchange rate is now very favorable for the Australian dollar, so
sooner is better than later.  I think it was about $700, including the
exchange rate, the check/wire transfer, the shipping, etc.  I think the
duty is 5.3% (another $30).  The post office handles the import
process.
