Hi all,  This is a rather late response but I had the flu for the past
week, sorry.  To answer Larry Mayo's question, the pneumatic should
close and play the note but should be stopped from closing completely
by the end stop rail that is on the piano action.

The action was designed so that the pneumatic can supply ample stroke
to play the note, unless there is really too much lost motion before it
actually starts lifting piano action and wippen.  Therefore if the lost
motion is not too much, the pneumatic will push the wippen up fully
until it hits the end stop rail.  It should hit this rail and prevent
the pneumatic from fully closing.  Hence the gap I described.  The end
stop rail must be adjusted first.  See my previous post.  Hope this
clarifies matters.
