My Roll Playing Pianos
By Jerry F. Bacon

Hello to all, In response to John Tuttle's inquiry. I am not a
rebuilder but if it is any help to you I have three roll playing
pianos: (1) a style 20 Fotoplayer restored by Roger Dayton of Coal
City IL, a superb job; (2) a Seeburg K, a restoration that is not over
about three years old by an unknown person in Florida, also a great
job; (3) a Western Electric that began as a style B with Selectra
(the Selectra was missing when I got it). I had the pump and the
xylophone pneumatics recovered by an excellent company here in Dallas
(Powell Piano Refinishing). I recovered all smaller pneumatics as
well as the stack. I also had to reduce the valve travel as it was
about 3/16". So this machine works very well.

That is my three pianos. Before I got the Fotoplayer I had a 1925
Gulbransen that was totally renewed in every way by Leon Speir of
Dallas, probably the best piano person in this city. So I can account
for four.
