"Noble" Portable Electric Chord Organ
By Les Kinney

I am an avid antique collector and have spent thousands of hours
roaming antique stores and estate establishments. Recently I saw,
and ultimately purchased from an antique store in Michigan, a musical
instrument I have never seen before. The instrument is a
"Noble" brand portable electric organ or keyboard.

When opened it has 60 button chord keys and a keyboard with twenty
white keys and 14 black keys. It is about 48 inches long, 16 inches
deep by 12 inches, in a rectangular shape. The case which holds the
keyboard is made out of wood veneer resembling an art deco look from the
1930s, although I assume it was probably made in the late 1940s. When
played it sounds like a combination of an organ and an accordion.

If anyone knows anything about the manufacturer, the date these items
were manufactured or any other interesting information I would
appreciate sharing your knowledge.

Thank you,

Leslie Kinney
