Aeolian Player Organ Questions
By Joe Orens

According to Rollin Smith in his book "The Aeolian Pipe Organ And Its
Music", there were only 8 "Marie Antoinette" Model Duo-Art Organs built
by the Aeolian Organ Company from 1928 until 1930. Only the first two,
1667 and 1695, were given Opus Numbers. All were installed without a
console and played from either a single-roll unit or 10-roll Concertola
unit. Being Duo-Art Organs wherein the registration was controllable
from the rolls, "Marie Antoinette" models probably did not have rocker
switches to control the stops.
