COAA Organ Rally, Jamestown NY, 24-26 August 2001
By Dan Robinson

The COAA organ rally held this weekend was great! It was at Midway
Park in Maple Springs, New York. If I remember correctly, thirteen
band organs were there. There were two large Stinson organs and one
small one playing 165 rolls, and a Bruder organ playing 165 rolls.
There was a Wurlitzer 153, a 146-A, a rare 147, and a North Tonawanda,
all playing 150 rolls.

There were two Wurlitzer 125s and a 105 replica (all playing 125
rolls), and two Wilhelm Bruder Soehne organs playing book music were in
attendance. Several of the band organs came from Ohio. The rest were
from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, Michigan, Indiana, Texas,
and Ontario, Canada. Two of the organs were set up at the park's
Herschell carousel: one of the Wurlitzer 125s and the small Stinson.

There were several hand-cranked barrel and monkey organs there as well,
and there was a neat nickelodeon in the parks museum gift shop. It was
a great rally in a beautiful setting.
