Last Month a client bought in one of these instruments for restoration.
The problem here is that out of the 8 or so rolls that are with the
device, none of them are complete and some are damaged to the point
that though they can be used for templates and remastered, they are
unplayable.  These rolls are 5" wide with 28 holes (26 playing notes)
perforated at 6 holes per inch. The two end holes operate a swell
shutter.  I have been discussing the possibility of recutting rolls for
this machine so I'm testing the waters here to see if there is any
interest.  Ed Schmitt does not make these rolls, but I have talked to
him about making spools which are very similar to celestina.  I have a
hand operated six-to-the-inch perforator I started putting together a
long time ago in mothballs.  My Idea is to remaster two rolls on a
standard 11 1/4 roll and send it off for duplication or just make
multiple copies myself.  If anybody needs these rolls or who have any
for recuting, please let me know
