I have had a lot of piano movers over the years and it seems strange
but the amount paid seems to have no correlation with the quality of
the move. One of the largest movers in the San Diego area has broken
the lyre off of one piano and scratched two others. They always took
care of the damages but it's still a pain, obviously I don't use them
any more. I bought a reproducing piano from a dealer in South San Diego
with delivery included. Imagine my surprise when 3 little Mexican
fellows got out of this mini pickup truck delivered my 5'7" grand. They
did an excellent job with no marks of any kind...  go figure.
