Tommy Forney's announcement of the new NCA web page mentions that the
search engine Google pulls the site up better and faster than other
search engines.  That prompts me to sing the praises of Google.  I
don't know why anyone would bother using the more popular Excite or
Lycos or Alta-Vista -- or any of that ilk -- when they can use Google
(http://www.google.com).

Google searches over one and one-half _billion_ web pages and it
searches text as well as titles, descriptions, and keywords.  This
gives you the opportunity to pull up something for almost any concept
that can be put into words -- such as "spotted bananas" (36 hits).

By using the advanced search option (which I always do) and keying in
"Robbie Rhodes," I pull up 4330 web pages using Google, whereas the same
search using MSN's search engine brings up only 116 web pages.  Not all
of those Robbie Rhodeses are the one we know, but most are!

Tim Trager reminded me last month that Google has a separate search
capability for finding images posted on the web.  I found some
interesting mechanical music pictures by using that part of Google.

Try Google in advanced search mode.  You'll like it.
