Sustain Pedal Operates Randomly
By Craig Brougher

Larry, Sounds to me that you have an error in your tubing. As long
as the pedal operators works well but not according to the roll coding,
then what else could it be? I am otherwise baffled.

Stop the roll on a sustain perforation. Place the index finger of the
left hand firmly over the sustain hole (tb3) and lift the finger up and
down, allowing air alternately into the hole. If this doesn't produce
the desired result, you have a tubing error.

Next, you play the roll until the sustain actuates. Then you squeeze
the only possible tubes it could be, and when you hear it opening and
closing as you squeeze, you found the right tube. Trace that tube to
the trackerbar and switch it with the one it should be.
