Piano Top Is Not For Knick-Knacks Either
By Tim Baxter

I read with interest D.L. Bullock's suggestion that piano tops should
be decorated with photos and other bric-a-brac -- blech! Piano tops
should have _nothing_ on them so they can be opened when needed for
tone and volume.

As to D.L.'s other point (an excellent one), customers ought to be
courteous enough to remove anything on top of the piano _before_ the
tech arrives for tuning, thereby eliminating another possible point of
contention. ("You lost Stonewall Jackson from my Franklin Mint Civil
War chess set! You chipped my Charles and Diana commemorative plate!"
etc., etc.)

Just one point of view.
