Seek Photographs of Player Reed Organs
By Kevin McElhone

I still need illustrations of the following automatic reed organs
for my next book, which I shall be starting on shortly as soon as
"The Organette Book" is published. This will be any reed organ or
combination pushup, which is powered by pumping the pedals to create
the power; it includes those with or without automatic roll motors.

I would prefer a good series of photographs of an instrument taken
_outdoors_ if possible, or please slightly over expose if taken
indoors.

I would be happy to have a photo-copy or scan of any old adverts
for any machine, particularly the following makers:-

  Aeolian 46-, 58-, 116-, 176-hole rolls (I have several hundred
of this make, but need unusual models or case styles)
  Bellolian
  Estey
  Kimball
  Mustel
  Phoneon
  Schiedmayer Scheola
  Storey and Clarke
  Wilcox & White

Other makes urgently needed as well. I do not want to use
illustrations previously published unless no other example exists.
Copies of front pages of catalogs are also very useful in determining
dates of issue for rolls.

I have some photo copies of original catalogs for sale or exchange
as well.

Sincerely, Kevin McElhone, England
