Protect Our Musical Heritage
By Michael Woolf

[ Ref. 020926 MMDigest, Duo-Art Player Action, Complete ]

It's Still Happening!

Because of this country's isolation I am in no geographical position to
offer personal harm to Randal Davis's "expert tech" who has removed the
reproducing parts of the piano "in order to replace the bass strings."
I just feel sad to think of the damage he may have done, perhaps
killing many other pianos in the years since the 1920s.

Perhaps it isn't too late -- as the owner still has the parts, is it
possible that the piano could be re-assembled rather than left in its
butchered state? And please, won't someone try to protect our musical
heritage from Mr Drevitson and others of his kind?
