Piano Without a Player Action Is More Valuable
By Don Teach

[ Ref. 020926 MMDigest, Duo-Art Player Action, Complete ]

I am in a dilemma. We just traded for a J & C Fisher Ampico Louis XVI
small grand. The player and piano were restored about 15 years ago.

The piano without the player would sell quickly for $5,000 as it is
very pretty and in great shape, with original ivory keys. With the
Ampico player system it would be a slow sale. The Ampico works but
needs some attention. The player part has not seen a tech since its
restoration about 15 years ago by John Kelsey.

What would you do if you were in this situation? We are a piano store
that is in business to support the family. I need the cash.

Note my new address.
