Weber Duo-Art in Australia
By Brian Lackie

Greetings from down under! I recently was asked to look at a piano which
the owners thought was a ordinary pianola; it turned out to be a Weber
Duo-Art reproducer, serial no. 75880.

Can anybody date this for me, please? The old lady thought her father
bought it in 1933, but it may not have been new then. It had the
player mechanism restored in 1990; the piano requires some regulation
work. Nice original maple cabinet, with a great looking double oak
Jacobean roll cabinet. The piano is playing well.

The old lady told me that when her father bought it home, he was unable
to play it, as the power had been cut off because of non-payment of the
power bill. Well, it was the Depression era.

Many thanks for any help, as I am helping the old lady to sell it.
