Passing of Frank Rider
By Tim Morsher

Sad greetings, our heart goes out to the Rider family, and are sure
there are sad people all over the country today. The one and only time
we met Frank and Hope was in Sandusky, Ohio, several years ago at a
band organ rally. I was desiring a small band organ, and dragging my
reluctant wife there; we ended up leaving the rally with her agreement
of the size machine she would like.

They were the finest ambassadors of the mechanical music hobby we met
that day, Frank and Hope Rider. We talked of shared interests, and at
the time we were living in Port Clinton, Ohio. We left the rally with
an invitation to visit them in Wabash and, never making it there, have
thought of them both often.

After that, I can't tell you how many times in conversations with
friends in Port Clinton, people would say, "Hey, you need to talk to
Frank and Hope Rider. They grew up here, and are amazing people."

It appears they have touched people all their lives, and we will
certainly miss Frank. Hope and her family are in our thoughts and
prayers.
