New Engraved Plates for Ampico Upright Switches
By Joshua Rapier

I had a friend make up some engraved Ampico upright lever plates to
replace the broken, all white and worn originals. They include the
plates for the four switches on the side of the spool box ( Automatic,
Pedal, Modify, Repeat), the Tempo lever slot(which is almost always
broken or missing), the Play/Reroll lever plate and the Switch or
Motor plate, for a total of five plates.

These are engraved, white letters on black. This does not include the
Tempo plate with all the numbers on it. That usually is in pretty good
shape compared to the other plates. The two plates for the four
switches (Automatic, Pedal, Modify, Repeat) also fit early Ampico
grands with the upright style spool box in the drawer.

Has anyone ever found these available anywhere else? I didn't know of
any replacements so I had these made. I had a few extra sets made up
and was wondering if there is any interest in these. If there is
enough interest some more can be made.

E-mail me at joshrapier@juno.com for any questions or interest.

Thanks,
Josh Rapier
