My shop woodworker is building himself a calliope.  I have restored a
couple of originals, but this is his baby.  One that I restored used
an A-roll to play.

I thought about this, but my guy wants to have some additions: bass
drum, snare drum, cymbal, siren, and a few other things including some
solo orchestra bells.  I think Wurlitzer or other band organ rolls
would work better than an A-roll which has no struck percussions.
Besides, A-roll arrangements would be for a non-sustained piano.

Which roll do the MMD folks think would work best for such a calliope,
and where does he get the spoolframe for them as well as the rolls?

He is a wood carver, into the Victorian look, so this is going to look
like no other calliope, as well as sounding like no other!

 [ Some models of the Wurlitzer Caliola included drums, and others
 [ played additional orchestra bells.  The music of the Caliola
 [ rolls is at least as good, and possibly better on the average,
 [ as A-rolls played on a calliope.  Another fine library would be
 [ Wurlitzer 165 band organ rolls, which have lots of nice percussion.
