Peter Phillips brings up an interesting point about using a CD player
for reproducing his Ampico roll files.

Some of us cannot have a reproducing grand piano, thanks to space
limitations, nor can we have both Ampico and Duo-Art pianos in our
living rooms, so both systems can be enjoyed (let alone also needing
a Welte T-100 piano too).  I had to choose between a new Allen R-311
theater organ or a piano, and the Allen won out hands down for obvious
reasons.

As one who loves the music he provides, and also Spencer Chase's great
Duo-Art roll offerings, both complete libraries I gladly purchased, it
would be wonderful if one of these gentlemen would see fit to produce
an interface device that could read directly from the CD-ROM disks
from a standard CD player and have a MIDI output, as I use to feed the
Allen organ, via a laptop PC, to its MIDI input from WindPlay files.

The PC often has problems and to eliminate it would be a supreme
advantage.  I have to say, however, both roll systems play using the
WindPlay program just beautifully, with full expression.

Having the some 1400 Ampico and 1200 Duo-Art rolls on two CD-ROM disks
gives the advantage of having a whole day's worth of good music going
all the time while other work is being done.

How about it gentlemen, can such a black box be offered?  One with a
LCD readout to show which program file is to be selected to be played,
and certainly capable of playing both the Phillips Ampico rolls and the
Chase Duo-Art rolls.
