I like Alan Pell's MIDI controller.  I installed it in the band
organ that I built and carved for the Big Apple Circus.  It played
outdoors all winter at Lincoln Center in New York without any problems
whatsoever.  Obviously a leather based system (bellows and pallet
valves) would not have held up.  I was impressed; I think that you
will be, too.
