Removing Old Rubber From Tracker Bar
By Ellsworth Johnson

What we did was to place the tracker bar in a kitchen oven that has
accurate temp controls and cook it for awhile at maybe 300 degrees F.
After removing everything from the oven the pieces of tubing are easy
to remove -- they just slide right off and not much of any mess at all
for cleanup. Wear some gloves when removing the tracker bar from the
oven, like the mitts one uses for hot dishes.

The main concern would be not to get anywhere near the temperature that
would melt solder, which is probably 450 degrees or maybe a bit more.
