CDs of Band Organs at Tilden Park, Berkeley
By A. B. Bonds

Thanks to the efforts of Dan Robinson and George Karpel, among others,
I have been able to sort out the tune lists on the Tilden Park tapes
nearly completely. There are a few loose ends and I would appreciate
any help I can get in resolving them. Incidentally, the consensus is
that the large organ is a Ruth that was rejiggered by B.A.B., with
B.A.B. rolls. The smaller organ is "most likely" a North Tonawanda
rejiggered for Wurlitzer 150 rolls.

(1) Roll # 36, the first two tunes are Vagabond Lover and something
else. I don't know whether Vagabond Lover is first or second, and do
not know the other tune.

(2) The first tune of roll #460 would appear to be Waltzes from Faust,
yes? No?

(3) The second roll played by the small organ appears to be a mix of
items from other rolls. Was this a recut of some kind? Does anyone
know this program? There are four tunes still unknown.

11. Unknown
12. I'll Get By (Roll #13164)
13. Ting a Ling (Waltz of the Bells) (Roll # 13138)
14. Walkin' My Baby Back Home (Roll # 13208)
15. Unknown
16. Unknown
17. Whispering (Roll #13070)
18. Unknown
19. An' Furthermore (Roll ?)

Once again, thanks for all of the terrific help. Once the tune sheets
are settled, I can send them as Word attachments via e-mail to the
Tilden customers. Note that I do not have the e-mail for all of the
people who ordered disks, so _please_ drop me a line if you want
a revised tune list.
