What has happened, by tapping into the large pipe coming out of the
left side of the main pump box, you have bypassed the stack cut-off
valve and the rewind cut-off valve. Move your original tap and replace
the hose.

On the main pump box there are one or two bellows, called reservoirs,
that are held open by springs. Get an elbow flange that will fit the
hose from the turbine pump then, carefully, drill a hole in the reservoir.
Attach the elbow flange and the turbine pump hose and you should be off
and running.
