Protective Lacquer for Brass and Metals
By Bill Maguire

Kim Bunker makes a good point about applying clear lacquer over
polished metal parts. I sometimes spray clear lacquer over parts
that I have painted, as well, because it gives the finish more of an
appearance of depth. In the King System I am working originally the
screws and other parts were painted gold. I forgot to mention, in
addition to old paint/rust removal and cleaning, to prime the screws
before painting; the paint will adhere much better.
