I was heartbroken to learn of the death of Gary Sage.  What
bothers me more is that it took so long to hear about it.
It seems like I exchanged e-mails with him only yesterday.

Gary was one of the kindest, gentlest people I've ever known.
He was always willing to share his knowledge with anyone.
He helped me immensely when I was in the recut business and
was very encouraging.  His son Elijah was born about the same
time my oldest was born.  The two played together when we
visited him.

I'll miss him.
