Building A New Band Organ
By Vic Searle

I have had so many messages about my 1986 book, "Building An
Electronic Band Organ", that I am seriously considering rewriting
it, taking out the electronic stuff and giving designs for making
it a pipe model.

I'd like to include the chapters from Mark Wicks' 1887 "Organbuilding
for Amateurs", now reprinted by Organ Historical Society (OHS) at a
hefty price of $53+. I have a microfilm of the book and could reprint
from it. Does anyone know if OHS has copyrighted their edition, and
if so, is it legal to do this?

Incidentally, in this book, the author mentions that a pipe factory
in England at that time had converted their shop to make paper pipes.
I would appreciate any information an MMD member might have.
